The Bernadotte dynasty has used Drottningholm's palace and park since Oscar I's time. The Palace is Their Majesties the King and Queen's permanent home residence. The rooms in the southern wing of the palace are reserved for this purpose. The rest of the palace and grounds are open to the public year round.
The Royal Court
The task of the Royal Court is to assist the Head of State and the Royal Family in their official duties. An important task for the Royal Court is also to show the cultural heritage associated with the Swedish monarchy to the public.
