Salute firing on the occasion of the Royal birth

On the occasion of the birth of HRH Princess Madeleine’s third child the Armed Forces will fire salutes today, the 9th March, at midday.

In connection with a birth in the Royal House the Swedish Armed Forces traditionally fire salutes to mark the occasion. Salutes of 21 shots will therefore today be fired from the Skeppsholmen battery in Stockholm and from the salute batteries in the cities of Boden, Härnösand, Karlskrona and Gothenburg.
