The victims of the pandemic are honoured at Drottningholm Palace Chapel

Thursday 11 March was the one-year anniversary of the first death from Covid-19 in Sweden. To mark the anniversary, The King, The Queen, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, Princess Christina and Consul General Tord Magnuson attended a service in Drottningholm Palace Chapel to honour the victims of the pandemic.

The service was held at The King's initiative, and was broadcast on TV. It marked the one-year anniversary of the first death from Covid-19 being reported in Sweden.

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Christina, Mrs Magnuson read prayers and lit candles.

The Right Reverend Bishop Johan Dalman led the service, assisted by Pastor of the Royal Court Parish Michael Bjerkhagen.

During the service, The King read lines from Psalm 139. Prince Carl Philip and Princess Christina read a prayer.
