The King and Queen hold a meeting with Minister Lena Hallengren

On Tuesday 15 September, The King and Queen held a meeting with Minister Lena Hallengren.

Minister for Health and Social Affairs Lena Hallengren opened the meeting by speaking about the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Sweden and Europe. She also described the Swedish Government's work in partnership with relevant agencies to ensure that Sweden is well prepared to deal with the pandemic moving forwards.

Minister Hallengren concluded by describing the close national and international cooperation on producing a vaccine.

The Royal Family and the COVID-19 pandemic

The Royal Family are keen to show their support for the initiatives being carried out by society to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Royal Family are staying informed about how the pandemic is affecting Sweden via discussions, digital meetings and visits.

These visits are planned based on current recommendations, and every effort is being made not to take up time and resources unnecessarily.
