The King and Queen attend a meeting about the Tokyo Olympic Games

On Wednesday 28 April, The King and Queen took part in a digital meeting with the Swedish Olympics Committee, which provided information about this summer's Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg, Chairman Mats Årjes and Vice Chairman Per Palmström took part in the meeting with The King and Queen.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The games were postponed until this year, and are planned to be held between 23 July and 8 August.

During the meeting, The King and Queen were informed about the Swedish athletes and this year's special arrangements in connection with the ongoing pandemic.
