On Tuesday 9 February, The Crown Princess opened Stockholm Fashion Week's digital fashion week.

Stockholm Fashion Week was held digitally this year between 9 and 11 February, and gave Swedish designers and fashion creators the opportunity to showcase their creations to a wide audience. The event included a number of pre-recorded fashion shows and interactive interviews with designers. Fashion Week also featured a programme of digital seminars.

In her speech, The Crown Princess emphasised the importance of diversity and sustainability within fashion:

"Inclusion and diversity drives innovation. And throughout history, innovation has always been the thing that's given Swedish businesses an advantage over their competitors.

"It is my hope that the Swedish fashion industry can be an inspiration and a role model to others – in this area, too.

"Because diversity is not a fashion trend. It is what we are.

"We are diverse – and that should be 'how we do things now'. In the fashion world and beyond."
