On Thursday 9 January, The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel visited the Youth Barometer, an analysis company.

The Youth Barometer was founded in 1991, and helps businesses, the public sector and organisations with mapping, analysis and advice on issues relating to young people and young adults. Every year, the Youth Barometer carries out surveys with a total of almost 50,000 young people. Its biggest study, which is carried out annually, shares the organisation's name and involves around 20,000 young people.

During their visit, The Crown Princess Couple learnt about the Youth Barometer's focus areas: working life and enterprise, media habits, schools and education, and exercise, sport and eating habits.

Representatives from the Youth Barometer also explained that new surveys show how young people have a real interest in socio-political issues, with levels of interest that have not been seen since the 1970s. Today's young people are particularly interested in political issues rather than party politics, channelling their commitment via social media and individual elections.
