On Thursday 6 February, The Crown Princess Couple visited Stockholm City Mission and work training operations for those who want to join the labour market.

Stockholm City Mission carries out a number of social enterprises with the aim of getting people into work. During 2019, 667 were trained for work by Stockholm City Mission.

During their visit to the central warehouse in Sätra, The Crown Princess Couple met several people carrying out work training by sorting incoming donations that will then be sold at second-hand shops.

Donations arrive at the central warehouse, where they are sorted and sent to social enterprises, sold in second-hand shops or, less often, re-designed and re-sewn.

Food Mission

The visit concluded at the Food Mission shop, where people with low incomes can buy food at low prices while helping to reduce food waste in society. The shop also offers work training.
