The King and The Crown Princess hold an audience with Nobel Peace Prize winner Juan Manuel Santos

On Monday 12 December, The King held an audience with this year's Nobel Peace Prize winner, Colombia's President Juan Manuel Santos, at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. The Crown Princess also took part in the meeting.

President Juan Manuel Santos was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for "his resolute efforts to bring the country's more than 50-year-long civil war to an end".

In its announcement of its decision to award the prize to President Santos, the Norwegian Nobel Committee added that the prize was also dedicated to the people of Colombia and not least to the victims of the civil war that lasted for more than 50 years.
