King presents scholarships from 50th Birthday Fund for Science, Technology and Environment

At a reception at the Royal Palace on Wednesday 12 May, The King presented 18 scholarships to 19 scholarship winners from his 50th Birthday Fund.
H.M. The King's 50th Birthday Fund promotes research, technical development and enterprise that contributes to the sustainable use of natural resources and the preservation of biological diversity.

The Fund was established to mark The King's 50th birthday, on the initiative of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, and Sveriges Indsutriförbund (now the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise).
