Final day of King and Queen's state visit to Brazil

On Friday 26 March, The King and Queen ended their state visit to Brazil by travelling to the industrial city of São José dos Campos, which is to the north of São Paulo.
In the morning The King paid a visit to the company Vale Solucoesem Energia. Vale Solucoesem Energia focuses on new sustainable energy solutions.

Following the visit, The King went to the National Institute for Space Research, which conducts research and is also responsible for Brazil's satellite programme.

In the morning the Queen paid a visit to the Faculty of Medicine at the University of São Paulo, and then travelled to São José dos Campos for talks with Mayor Eduardo Pedrosa Cury.

The Queen and the Mayor attended a meeting on cooperation between municipalities and World Childhood Foundation in relation to strengthening protection for children, “Refazendo Lacos".

The King and Queen's programme in São José dos Campos ended with a joint visit to the company Embraer, the third largest aircraft manufacturer in the world, which included a lunch and guided tour of the final assembly hall.

The state visit officially ended in São Paulo in the afternoon.
