Ladies and gentlemen,
Dear rally friends,
It is an honour to welcome you all to Umeå and to
Rally Sweden 2023!
It’s great to back here in Umeå.
I am looking forward to once again getting really close to the action, and to take part in the rally.
Last year was a premiere year for the rally here in Umeå – and what a great start!
It was promised fast conditions, large snowbanks and many opportunities for the public to get close to the rally
– and that promise was held!
A winter rally just as it should be.
An experience that truly made a fantastic start for the rally
here in Umeå.
Sweden in the wintertime is really something spectacular.
And to experience a rally held in real winter conditions is always exciting.
I hope that everyone here during these days, either if you’re from Sweden or from other parts of the world, will take many great memories home with you.
To all the drivers: good luck in the competition.
May the best team and driver win!

Take care of each other and be safe out there.
