The King holds an audience with the Nobel Peace Laureates

On Tuesday 13 December, The King held an audience with the 2022 Nobel Peace Laureates. The Queen also attended the audience, which was held in Princess Sibylla's Apartments at the Royal Palace.

The 2022 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to human rights advocate Ales Bialiatski from Belarus, the Russian human rights organisation Memorial and the Ukrainian human rights organisation Center for Civil Liberties.

The King and Queen welcomed Jan Zbigniewicz Rachinsky, Elena Zhemkova and Tanya Smith from the human rights organisation Memorial to the Royal Palace.

The laureates were recognised for their work for human rights, democracy and peaceful co-existence in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.
