International symposium on dyslexia at the Royal Palace

On 27 April, The Queen, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, Princess Beatrice of York and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took part in the World Dyslexia Assembly Sweden. The aim of the international symposium was to raise awareness of – and influence the image of – dyslexia.

The day brought together international and national players from the education sector, industry and research. The Swedish Government was represented by the Minister for Schools.

Prince Carl Philip opened the symposium with a speech, in which he said:

While I have had some struggles, I have been fortunate enough to receive proper help. To be met with knowledge and understanding. To be included.

Unfortunately, not all children with dyslexia are that lucky.”

  • Empowering dyslexic thinking in the workplace
  • Empowering dyslexic thinking in education
  • Empowering dyslexic thinking in youth
  • Empowering your dyslexic thinking
Princess Beatrice of York took part in one of the panel discussions during the day.
