On the afternoon of 16 September, The King and Queen travelled by horse-drawn cortège through central Stockholm in connection with The King's 50th jubilee. The final section of the cortège route to the Royal Palace took place on board the Royal Barge Vasaorden.

Jubilee 2023

Drottningholm palace
The Bernadotte dynasty has used Drottningholm's palace and park since Oscar I's time. The Palace is Their Majesties the King and Queen's permanent home residence. The rooms in the southern wing of the palace are reserved for this purpose. The rest of the palace and grounds are open to the public year round.
The Royal Court
The task of the Royal Court is to assist the Head of State and the Royal Family in their official duties. An important task for the Royal Court is also to show the cultural heritage associated with the Swedish monarchy to the public.
Official duties and tasks
The Royal Court is the organisation that supports H.M. The King and the other members of the Royal House in their official duties. The King's motto “For Sweden – With the times” is a guide for The Royal Court.
