Kronprinsessan invigde Stockholm fashion week

Tisdagen den 9 februari öppnade Kronprinsessan Stockholm fashion weeks digitala modevecka.

Stockholm fashion week hålls i år digitalt mellan 9-11 februari och ger svenska designers och modeskapare möjlighet att visa sina alster för en bred publik. Under veckan visas ett antal förinspelade visningar samt interaktiva intervjuer med designers. Modeveckan innehåller också ett digitalt seminarieprogram.

I sitt tal lyfte Kronprinsessan vikten av mångfald och hållbarhet inom mode:

Inclusion and diversity drives innovation. And through our history innovation has always been the thing that’s given Swedish businesses an advantage over their competitors.

It is my hope that the Swedish fashion industry can be an inspiration and a role model to others – in this area, too.

Because diversity is not a fashion trend. It is what we are.

We are diverse – and that should be “how we do things now”. In the fashion world and beyond.
